Tess survived for months alone in an orchard, pregnant and starving, before rescuers finally found her. When they brought her in, she was struggling to breathe - her puppies were pressing so hard on her lungs that emergency spay surgery was the only way to save her life.
This gentle girl is still learning to trust people after her ordeal. She's very shy but craves connection, slowly tiptoeing closer for affection when approached calmly. Tess is sweet with other dogs and would do best in a quiet home without small children, where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. If you have patience and a calm environment to offer, Tess is ready to start healing in a real home.
